Grievance update… The list of grievances from last year has been reduced from over 100 down to under 30. Half of those 30 have been submitted to the arbitrator and/or BOE attorney for review so we anticipate quick resolutions. This means that the grievance problem is no longer a problem. Thanks to our new grievance chair Cory Banta and his co-chairs Dave Ayd, and Carmen Bernasconi for taking time from their summer vacation to attend a grievance training/meeting yesterday along with myself and our VP’s, Leo Caramazana and Nick Nicoletta. Special thanks to your secretary Joyce for helping us get a handle on things and to Leo for updating our antiquated system for cataloging and tracking grievances.
